Websites, Marketing and Automation for Restaurants and Cafés

Help hungry customers find you, choose you and come back. We build restaurant websites with readable menus, improve your visibility on Google Maps, and set up QR ordering, table bookings, loyalty cards and review cards for restaurants, cafés, takeaways and pubs across the UK and worldwide.

What does a restaurant need online?

Most diners decide where to eat on their phone, often within minutes. They search Google Maps for something nearby, check the photos, rating and menu, and then book, order or walk in. A restaurant needs to be easy to find in those results, show an up-to-date menu that loads quickly, and make the next step obvious.

After the first visit, the focus shifts to bringing people back. Repeat customers are the heart of most independent restaurants, so loyalty, reviews and simple ordering matter as much as being found.

Common problems

Problems we help restaurants and cafés solve

Hard to find on Google Maps

An incomplete Google Business Profile, few recent reviews and missing photos make it hard to appear when people search nearby.

Menu stuck in a PDF

PDF menus are slow on phones and harder for Google and AI tools to read. A text menu on your website is easier for everyone.

Busy nights, slow service

Guests wait to order and staff run between tables. QR ordering lets guests order when they are ready.

Missed bookings

Calls go unanswered during service. Online table booking takes reservations day and night.

Regulars you cannot see

Paper stamp cards get lost. A digital loyalty card shows who your regulars are and brings them back.

Too few reviews

Happy guests rarely leave reviews unless asked. Review cards make it a one-tap job, within Google’s rules.

What works

What works for restaurant marketing

  1. Get your Google Business Profile right. Correct opening hours (including holidays), menu link, booking or ordering link, good photos of food and the room, and the right categories.
  2. Put your menu on your website as text. Include dish names, prices and dietary labels so search engines and AI assistants can read it, and update it when it changes.
  3. Make ordering direct. Delivery apps bring new customers but charge commission. Direct collection ordering on your own website can work alongside them for regulars.
  4. Ask every guest for a review. A steady flow of honest reviews builds trust and visibility. Never offer rewards for reviews or ask only happy guests.
  5. Give regulars a reason to return. A simple loyalty card and an occasional quiet-day offer, sent only to people who have opted in, keep tables full.

Rules

Rules restaurants should keep in mind online

  • Allergens: for food ordered online or by phone, allergen information must be available before the order is completed and when the food is delivered. Digital menus should make allergen information easy to find.
  • Reviews: fake reviews, and hiding or cherry-picking reviews, are banned under the DMCC Act 2024. Google also bans incentives for reviews and asking only selected customers.
  • Marketing messages: emails and texts with offers need consent or the soft opt-in for existing customers, with an easy opt-out every time.

If you trade in other countries, local rules differ, and we check them with you. This is general information, not legal advice.

FAQs

Restaurant and café questions answered

How can my restaurant appear higher on Google Maps?

Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot change distance, but you can improve relevance and prominence with a complete Google Business Profile, accurate categories and hours, good photos, a strong website and a steady flow of genuine reviews.

Should my menu be a PDF or on the website?

On the website as text is usually better. It loads faster on phones, is easier to update, and can be read by search engines and AI assistants. You can still offer a PDF for printing.

Can I take orders without paying delivery app commission?

Yes, for orders placed directly with you. We can set up collection and takeaway ordering on your own website. Many restaurants use this alongside delivery apps rather than instead of them.

Do you build restaurant websites?

Yes. We build fast, mobile-friendly restaurant websites with text menus, booking or ordering links, opening hours, location details and photos.

How much does it cost?

It depends on what you need, from a website to QR ordering and loyalty. We give you a clear quote after a free consultation. See how we price projects.
